Stone & Willow is a small, owner-run landscaping company. Here is who we are, how we work, and where we cover.
Who we are
Stone & Willow is Sam Bullen, working across South West London, working with a number of trusted contractors, including skilled trade professionals and expert garden designers. We bring sustainability and high quality to every project.
How we got started
Based in Richmond-upon-Thames, South West London, Sam Bullen established Stone & Willow in 2026, inspired by years of designing, building and maintaining family gardens, including:
- Treehouses
- Woodstores
- BBQ and fire pit areas
- Retaining walls and stone steps
- Raised beds
- Garden tables and benches
What you can count on from us is a written price before anything starts, the owner on site from the quote to the last tidy-up, and work you can look at while it is going on rather than after it is buried.

Areas we cover
Richmond-upon-Thames is our base, and we cover South West London directly across Putney, Wandsworth, Twickenham and Earl's Court, and the areas around them. For contract work alongside our trade partner, we travel further into Surrey.
How we work
We follow your lead in wanting good communication, fair pricing, clean working, and a product that will stand the test of time. That means regular check-ins, providing honest estimates, taking pride in our process, and using the best quality materials on every job.
We keep jobs small enough that the person who quotes your garden is the person who builds it, and stays until it is finished. That means one point of contact throughout, a written price before anything starts, and a site that is left tidy at the end of each day.
We plan around the access and space that small London gardens actually have, rather than around a generic build process. Foundations, drainage and levels get done properly even where nobody will ever see them, because that is what determines whether a garden lasts.
What we will and will not take on
We take on hardscaping and soft landscaping jobs of most sizes, garden clearances, and contract or trade work alongside other landscapers. We are upfront if something is a bad idea for your space or your budget, before you have paid for it.
We do not take on structural building work, large-scale groundworks outside our trade partnerships, or jobs where access genuinely will not allow the work to be done safely. If a job is not right for us, we will say so rather than take it on anyway.

In association with Lodwick Landscapes. We work closely with Ollie Davies at Lodwick Landscapes as a trusted partner so that we can take on even the largest landscaping projects while ensuring the work is still done to our high standards.
Insurance
Public liability cover is being arranged now and will be in place before any work starts.
