Privacy notice.
This explains what personal data Stone & Willow collects through this website, why, and what your rights are.
Last updated: 11 September 2026.
Who we are
This website is operated by Stone & Willow Limited, trading as Stone & Willow Landscaping, registered office 35 St James' Avenue, Hampton, London TW12 1HH ("we", "us", "our"). We are the data controller for the personal data described in this notice.
You can get in touch about privacy matters at info@stoneandwillow.co.uk or by post to the address above, for the attention of Sam Bullen.
What we collect
When you use the quote form on this site, we collect the information you choose to give us: your name, phone number, email address, postcode, and any details you add about the job, your timing and your budget.
If, and only if, you agree to it, we collect standard analytics data when you browse the site, such as the pages you visit, how you got here, and general device and location information (typically at town or postcode-area level, not your exact address). This is collected via Google Analytics and does not, on its own, identify you personally. If you decline, none of it is collected and Google Analytics is never loaded.
Why we collect it
- To respond to your enquiry, arrange a visit and provide a quote. This is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract with you.
- To follow up about work you have asked us about, where you have agreed to be contacted, and to keep records of jobs we have quoted or carried out. This is our legitimate interest in running the business, balanced against your right to privacy.
- To understand how the website is used and improve it, using analytics data. Our lawful basis for this is your consent, which you give through the cookie banner and can withdraw at any time.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details (name, contact details, postcode and job information) for 24 months from your last contact with us, so we can follow up on quotes and keep a record of past conversations. If your enquiry becomes a job, we keep the related records for as long as needed for accounting, warranty and legal purposes.
Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' standard settings, which we intend to review and confirm.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or pass your details to anyone for marketing purposes. We do share data with a small number of service providers who process it on our behalf, under their own data protection obligations:
- Our email provider, Hostinger, used to receive and store enquiries sent through the contact form.
- Our website hosting provider, Hostinger, used to run this website and its contact form.
- Google Analytics, used to understand site traffic. See the cookies section below.
We would only share your data more widely than this if required by law.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no cookies at all unless you agree to them. There are no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels and no third-party embeds anywhere on the site.
The only non-essential technology we would like to use is Google Analytics, which tells us which pages people find useful. It is not loaded at all until you press "That is fine" on the banner. If you decline, or simply ignore the banner, the Google Analytics script is never requested and no analytics cookies are created.
We remember your answer using your browser's local storage rather than a cookie, under the name sw_cookie_choice. It holds a single word, either granted or denied. It is stored on your own device, is never sent to us, and exists purely so we do not ask you again on every page.
You can change your mind at any time:
- Use the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page, which brings the banner back.
- Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Clear your browser's site data for this site, which resets your choice and removes anything stored.
Your rights under UK GDPR
You have the right to:
- Ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you (right of access).
- Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data (right to rectification).
- Ask us to delete your data, where there is no good reason for us to keep it (right to erasure).
- Ask us to restrict how we use your data in certain circumstances (right to restriction).
- Object to us using your data for certain purposes, including direct marketing (right to object).
- Ask us to transfer your data to you or another organisation in a portable format, where relevant (right to data portability).
To exercise any of these rights, get in touch using the details above. We will respond within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please get in touch first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO):
- Website: ico.org.uk
- Helpline: 0303 123 1113
- Post: Information Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF
